Gone are the days I could pick up a paint brush and work on a painting when the creative spirit moved me. Being an artist has always been a solitary endeavor, but now every day is bustling with the bright energy of my kids wanting to embark on their next adventure, with me leading the way.
Now being artistic has to be much more intentional and ideas have to be filed away until my kids get a little older. Until then you’ll find me coloring Mickey Mouse, pasting felt hand prints on Easter baskets, and Photoshopping some adorable Christmas cards and birthday invites. I’m looking forward to being able to teach my children how to paint and embrace their own creativity. Little easels are ready to go for when they are ready – I can’t wait.
