Back home in Indiana

Coming home from my trip out of the United States makes me feel nostalgic for all things Indiana.  Although I love all that was Italy, there is something about Indianapolis that makes me content and happy to be home.  So I’m channeling my love for Indianapolis with a series of Indianapolis 500 paintings inspired by the cars of the early 1900’s.

Marmon Wasp Painting

The Marmon Wasp racer was the first car to win the Indy 500 on May 30, 1911.  Ray Harroun, the driver of the Marmon, beat out a field of 40 to win.
